Anushka presents at a Women Politicians Meeting on a gendered lens to AI Regulation in India

Research Associate Anushka Jain recently spoke at the Network of Women Politicians Meeting on Regulation of Artificial Intelligence in India: Applying a Gender Lens.

Organised by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung India on the issue of Gendered AI Harms and Specific Areas of Regulation, the meeting was held in Goa and focussed on the regulation of Artificial Intelligence in India.

The one-day event brought together women professionals and international experts to discuss India's vision of becoming a global AI powerhouse, emphasising the need to balance innovation with effective regulation. The discussions addressed the risks posed by AI and Generative AI, highlighting the importance of policy frameworks for responsible innovation and risk mitigation.
