Responsible AI Fellowship Kickoff in Goa

After virtually kicking off the Responsible AI Lab fellowship, DFL hosted an in-person workshop in Goa for the 14 organisations in RAIL’s inaugural cohort. The 2-day workshop fostered candid peer-exchange on AI integration in sectors like healthcare, agriculture, social welfare, and more.

Recent data shows AI adoption in key industries across India reached 48% in 2023-24, with 75% of orgs considering AI integration within the next year. This context underscores the importance of shaping AI innovation responsibly.

Fellows discussed responsible data practices, scaling AI interventions, and communicating AI to end users. A futuring activity explored the impact of LLM-based chatbots in healthcare, highlighting key implications.

These insights will help us curate the RAIL fellowship programming until November 2024.
